- About 4 miles from Cobh there is a place called Belvelly there is a chimney shaft still to be seen it used to be a pottery and bricks were made there.
The remains of an old forge are still to be seen at Ballymore. gates used to be made there the name of the owner was Fennessy. There is an old lime kiln about 3 1/2 miles from the town the place is called Rossleague. There is another lime kiln at Ashgrove and another at Belvelly.
