  1. I am living in Buttevant,There are about three hundred houses in it. There are a lot more houses in it now than long ago. Most of the houses in Buttevant are slate. Buttevant got its name from the French word Bouteg an avant which means advance forward. There are several ruins in Buttevant, and they are. The old mill, and the abbey. A lot of people used to go to America but they all go to England now.
