- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)that the woman that was in bed was not his own wife, but that his own wife was in Kerry. She told him to go to Kerry and that a dance would be held in a certain house. That his wife would attend that dance, and to ask her out for a dance.
The following evening the man and a few others went on horseback to Kerry. When they arrived there, the dance was going on, so they went in. After some time they saw the man's wife. The man went out for a dance, and asked his wife out. While they were dancing, they stole away and brought the woman with them. When they arrived near the house: The sick woman went out of the house, and went up to the hill crying. She never returned after that.
