    in the dikes of this boreen and in the graveyard. It was supposed that these flowers were planted by the people who came there with the dead.
    In another plot is an old well and long ago the people used to go making rounds there. The owner of the land at that time did not want the people coming through his fields so he closed the well by putting an iron gate down on it and he ploughed the field. Then the well sprung up all over the field and at the present day it is impossible for anybody to point out exactly where the well was. The cattle now drink water from these springs which have never been known to go dry.
