According to Mrs Greene a teacher named Kelly taught in Shanbogh before Coyne and he afterwards taught in Rosbercon. Ned doubtfully admits this. - According to Ned Fortune the present building was used as a school since 1840. This is not correct. Mrs Greene says the present building was a public house in her father's young days and that he drew the sand for it when it was being rebuilt as a school. It then had a thatched roof.
