    Old Houses of their District
    In my district there are many ancient houses and in my townland of Greagh the majority of them are mud wall cabins.
    There is one house which is occupied the the present day by a man called Stephen Gilh-ooly and it is entirely made of mud. The roof is made of oak and Cib Scraws and the fire is on the hearth at one gable.
    In this old cabin there is a bed in the corner of the kitchen and it is called a pooch.
    The windows are made of glass but on the inside there are two doors called shutters.
    In my townland there are also houses made of mud occupied by Mr Mick Guihen, Michael Mc Parthlon. Mrs Gilhooly. John Cream-er. Mrs Mc Manus and Michael Flynn. Part of those houses fell and they are rebuilt with
