Puss sits at the fire washing its face with its velvety paws. The horse and ass are trying to seek shelter from the approaching blast by concealing them-selves against some wall or fence. Sometimes the clouds darken and the sun turns from its sparkling yellow to a silvery shade, and what do the old folk say "Oh how my bones ache, rain must be at hand." These are the surest weather indicators.
