    Boxwood bark is used for headaches. First the bark is boiled and then the juice is drunk.
    Cherry bark is used as a cure for coughs and sore throats. The bark is cut into small parts and boiled and when it is cool it is drunk.
    Chestnut bark is boiled for a sore throat. The bark is boiled in boiling water and while still hot it is rubbed on the throat with a very fine soft cloth.
