    per day, and any man, who has a horse and cart gets nine shillings per day.
    The local roads are known as the Bog Road, Castleblayney to Ballybay Road, Castleblayney to Monaghan Trunk Road, Castleblayney to Monaghan Old Road, Ballytrain Road, Castleblayney to Dundalk Road, and Castleblayney to Carrickmacross Road.
    The Bog Road is a bye road leading from the Castleblayney Road out to the Ballytrain Road. There is no motor traffic on this road and it is not in good repair.
    The Old Castleblayney to Ballybay Road leads past our house. It has a rough surface, as it is never tarred or steamed rolled like the trunk road. It is known as the Old Ballybay Road. It
