There was a poor scholar there long ago, he had a step-mother and two step-brothers. The step-mother tried by every means in her power to do away with him, so he had to leave. He went as a poor scholar. When he was done in one school, he went to the second, and he continued on until any school-master couldnt teach him any thing in the finish. On his travells, he happened to lodge one night beside a king's palace. Nora the King's wife who was childless for 21 years was going to have a youngster. When the poor-scholar heard this, he went to the palace and told the nurse to delay the child for half an hour. The nurse said "no she couldn't." "Delay him for a quarter of an hour then" said the poor scholar, "for there is a planet over him". She could not so the child was delivered.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
