- In the Penal times when priests were not allowed to stay in the country, some of them went to the Continent and got educated, then they came home and said Mass in lonely, hidden, backward places. It is told that in a field outside the town a priest usually said Mass for the people.
One day they were assisting at Mass, and they never expected the "Red Boys": When all of a sudden they came on, the priest remained on the Altar. Then three wethers jumper out of a spring that was in the field and the Butcherers dog's chased them.
