Mountain sage will cure the cold. The sage is boiled and the juice is sweetened and kept tightly corked and used as required.
Rub the wart with a raw potato, then bury the potato in the ground and as it rots the wart disappears.
If you find a stone with a hole in it and water in the hole Dip the wart in it every day while the water lasts and the wart will disappear.
To hold paraffin oil in the mouth is a cure for toothache. Epsom salts would do either.
