- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Palmerston, the local Landlord or not) visited the fort. He employed local men to search for an entrance hole which was discovered after some time.
A flight of beautiful marble steps led down to the interior of the fort.
This gentleman, being of a covetous disposition, got the men to cover up the entrance hole, intending to come search at a future date and remove the beautiful steps and so secure possession of them.
Strange to relate, he died shortly afterwards. No person in the locality ever interfered with the fort afterwards, as they believed that this man's death was caused by his interference with the Fort.
