  2. 1. If you cut your hair and left it thrown around, it was supposed you would get a pain in your head.
    2. If you saw a magpie in a field. It was a sign that you would have bad luck for the day.
    3. If four magpies stood in a straight row, it was a sign that someone was dead belonging to you.
    4. If you were up late at night it was said that you would get a fairy pinch.
