- There was a blacksmith living in this village about ninety years ago named John Rooney, and one night he dreamt that there was a great treasure hidden where the Guards' Barrack now stands. He had this dream for three successive nights in which the exact spot was pointed out to him.
So one fine moonlight night he took a spade and began digging under a little bush growing on the fence. After some time he met a flag and it had a hollow sound and he said to himself "By Jove, I have it at last".
