“Long ago there lived a man named Seán Scataire.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to bed. The next day, Shawn ate more than fifty-sic men and the farmer got afraid of him. In a glen far away there lived a bull who used to blow sparks out of his mouth at any person who approached him. These sparks used kill all the people who came near the bull. The farmer sent Shawn away for the bull to bring him to the farmer as he thought the bull would kill Shawn.
The next day Shawn set off to bring the bull to the farmers. As he approached, the bull blew a mouthful of sparks at him but Shawn hit him with his iron stick and after a great struggle Shawn brought home the bull to the farmer. The farmer was very surprised at Shawn when he brought home the bull. The next day was Sunday and it was a very fine day. There were three giants living in the farmer's farm and they had a lovely field of after-grass. The farmer told Shawn to let in the cows into the after-grass, after first llas [?].
