Ar an leathanach seo
- We have a pony at home. His name is Ned. He is very kind to his master. My father carries him to town under the car to bring a ton of meal home, every month.
His age is about ten years. He is fed twice every day. He eats corn and mangolds and crushed oats.
In winter he is in kept in the stable, and he is tied by a rope to a staple in the wall. Straw is put under him, and hay is put into the manger for him to eat.
But in Summer he is left out in the fields eating the grass.
Then when he gets old he is sold for nine or ten pounds.
Then the people buy an other pony
