There are no landlords in this district nowadays, but there are a few living in other counties in Ireland.

The last landlords of this district was George Lane Fox. This man never lived in this district but he lived in London. He had one agent over here to collect all his rents for him. At one time he had Kells to collect his money. Frank La Touche was another agent for this landlord.
The agents were far worse then the landlord. They used o tell lies on the people.
When ever they used to see anything new on anyone they were jealous and had this tenant evicted.
