- I used to make spinny jinneys by cutting a spool and putting a piece of stick in the hole tapered to a fine point. This would revolve a long time when started off with a spin. The finer the point on the smoother the surface the longer it would spin. Whoever could make it spin the longest was the winner.
- Work begun on Friday will be completed very early or very late. Work begun on Saturday will always be finished early. Anything sown on Good Friday will grow.
