crane and cormorant are seen to take up certain positions on the lake shores and river banks, the people say it is a sure and certain sign of rain. The old people also say it is a sign of snow to see the cat sitting with her back to the fire.
It is also a sign of rain to see the lake black and rough looking. It is a sign of good weather to see the lake blue and very calm. Another sign of storm is to see a blue blaze in the fire.
