The name of our village is Aillebrack. It is so called because the hill of Doon is covered with brecked spots.
There are about thirty one houses in it now but long ago there were nearly twice as much. There are some of the houses slated, thatched and some with iron.
The most common surnames in it are - Conneely's and O'Malley's.
There are about thirteen people over seventy in it. Some of them can tell Irish stories.
There are about twenty ruins of houses in it.
A lot of people went to America long ago during the free emigration.
Some of the land of the village is fair but the rest of it is rocky. There are some woods growing in it.
