    Nearly everybody gives them a few coppers, so when their rounds are over, they count their money, and usually buy sweets and fruit, and have a feast for themselves. A funny thing happened in this village last year. The little boys thought they would try the game too. So five or six went round and gathered money.
    Some of them were after having measles and enjoyed the punch. They thought they would buy whiskey with the money they got. They were just being served with two glasses of whiskey when the shop assistant found out it was for themselves.
