- Long ago the Grove was the residence of a Protestant Archbishop.
It was said that he was very hard on the Catholics of the parish.
When he died he was left as usual in the house for a night and the day that the funeral was to take place his coffin was laid in the hearse. The horses were harnessed because the hearses they had long ago were drawn by horses.
They got ready to start the funeral but the horses would not move even after a lot of coaxing they would not go so that the men had to take the coffin out of the hearse and start. No sooner had they reached the gate leading from the house, than they found that they themselves could not move. After a time a Catholic Priest was sent for.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
