It is believed in this district that some people can rob their neighbour of their butter.
This is how they do so. On May morning they make a rope of horse hair. This they drag through their neighbour's field while reciting an incantation. No amount of churning will bring butter to milk supplied by cows who fed in these fields.Long ago an old woman robbed her neighbour of her butter.
