    The Old Castle
    In the early days of the platation of Ulster about the year 1610 the Protestants took possession of Raphoe. They built a beautiful castle for the Protestant Bishop in the year 1636 and the wallsteads of it still remain. It is situated in the centre of a field on Mr. Morrows land in the village of Raphoe.
