    a strange thing happened. He felt himself getting drowsy and he thought he heard a voice saying "Bring me to the river". He fell asleep and when he woke it was pitch dark and he could not see his hand and he began to get afraid. So at last he heard footsteps coming towards him and a voice said "Carry that stone down to the river and you can kill all the beasts in the wood". He did so by the light of a torch and in the morning all the beasts came out and he killed them one by one.
    The stone is called Cloch Finn and it is still to be seen near a river which runs into Bally-
