  1. About 90 years ago when a person died he was put over board in a bed in the kitchen. Six candles, which were decorated with white and blue paper were lighted at his feet. A white sheet was draped on the bed side and small black ribbons in the shape of a cross were put on the sheet as a sign of mourning. The person who was overboard had on a white cap and sheet.
    When a person from 70 years of age and upwards died songs were sung and games were played at the "wake". One of the games played was "tarc-do-bróg.
