    Then they used to go to every house and ask a penny in honour of St. Brigid.
    Then, when they had a good deal of money gathered, they used to buy a melodeon, and they used to have it for the dances during the year.
    The past-time the gasúrs had, was making tops out of spools. The way they used to make them was, to pare a spool, and make it thin on the top, and then put a bit of a rod in the hole of the spool.
