The scared dust of the noble and the just
    For ages there doth lie
We hope as they rest on that isle as blessed
That their souls doth rest on High.
It is there where they sleep in their homes of the deep
They departed from all their glory
How slowly they rot on that hallowed spot
    Called the Island of Innisglora
    III
In the good times of old as we have been told
Ere aliens came to our shore
There dwelt in that place a grand holy race
Who kindled the fires of love.
Until the laws of the land with an iron hand
Crushed the faith of our forefathers holy
Still they jailed to efface the name of that place
    Called the Island of Innisglora.

The run in the west was seeking his rest
And his rags o'er the deep were shining
As we roved o'er the strand of the once famed land
On the beach with sadness reclining
Now I sigh for the day when the glorious ray
Of rebellion did shine pure and holy
And soon to return the splendour of yore
    On the island of Innisglora.
