   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   The old mill in Shrule was built about two hundred years ago. The Black River was running beside it, and the water of the river turned the wheel that worked the Mill. John Walsh's grand--father worked in it and my great grandfather worked there. It became disused about eighty years ago, some time after the famine.
   There was a Brewery in Shrule in the building that was used later as stores by Mr. Golding. There was a weekly market in Shrule, and the farmers used to bring in oats, and wheat and barley, and they were bought for the Brewery.
