The small man came on Monday. He had twelve other men with him. He asked for the box. When Seán gave him the box he opened it. What was in it was a mouse. He asked Seán to give him a saucepan of water. Seán gave it to him and he put the mouse in to it and he put it on the fire to boil.
When it was boiled he took it up and he gave a drop of the soop to all that was with him and he said to Seán. "Of course you shall have a drop too." "I will". said Seán. When he had the drop of soop drunk he knew where every pot of gold was hidden all over Ireland.
Then the small man cut up the mouse and he gave a bit to all that was with him. He said to Seán, again. "Of course you shall a bit too." "I will", said Seán. and as soon as he had it ate he forgot where every pot of gold was. The small man said to Seán. "Go out in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
