  1. Bird Lore
    There are many birds in our district: the robin, wren, thrush, blackbird, sparrow, finches, jay, hawks, crows and jackdaws.
    Some birds build in trees, they are, the hawks, jays, crows and magpies. The thrush, blackbird, sparrow and wren build in bushes and the larks and the robin build in the grass.
    They all lay different numbers of eggs. The thrush, blackbird, sparrows, crows and jays lay four. The robin, finches, and wren lay five eggs.
