    A common fern and the bark of an elder for a burn:-
    The fern and the elder bark are to be boiled and then put to the burn to draw it.
    Cumfry for a sprain:-
    The cumfry has to be rooted out of the ground and then cut with a knife and then put to the sprain.
    Soda and parafin oil for a chilblane:-
    The soda and parafin oil are to be mixed and rubbed to the chilblane.
    Soap and sugar to draw or ripen absis:-
    The soap and sugar are to be boiled together and put to the absis.
