  1. There were seven forges in the parish at one time, four in the town of Kiltimagh one in Cartoon Bawn one in Craggagh one in Greyfield. There are only four forges in the parish now.
    The forges had thatched roofs long ago. But they are all roofed with corrigated iron now. Only one smith worked in each forge. He made spades and slanes
