    Children now start wearing shoes when they are about three years. They wear no shoes from April to the end of October. The shoes are bought in Wesport. There are no shoemakers in this village but there is one in Durlis which is about two miles from this place. Long ago there was an old man named Aifreach who never wore a boot. He was a very quick runner.
