  1. Holy Wells
    There are two holy wells in this parish. One of them is in a place called sugavale and the name of it is Saint Patrick's Well. The other well is in a place called Killgeever which is about five miles from here. The well is situated in a graveyard. People visit the well yet, and they perform stations there. About seventy years ago, and later than that, people used come from all parts of Mayo to the well. They used cross the mountains
