    1. When the old people long ago would be making the churning they would put a coal under it so that the fairies would not take away the butter.
    2. They would not give away butter or milk on May day they say that they would not have any for the rest of the year.
    3. If you would be going to town in the morning and meet a red haired girl that you would have bad luck for the rest of the day.
