Near my home is a lake called Loch Brighde..This lake was once a blessed well called "Lean na Moch".It was situated near there Silvergrove road.
One day a woman washed her clothes in the well.It rose up and flooded the land. The woman ran but the water caugh overtook her and she was drowned.
The well is surrounded by a small island and was formerly surmounted by a small cross. The cross was blown down by the wind and is still lying near by .The well has a great cure for rheumatism.
