  1. Here are some signs of the weather. If you see a dog eating grass it is a sign of rain. If you see a cat sitting on the hearthstone it is a sign of rain. If you hear a dog's guts rumbling it is the sign of rain. If you see a blue blaze coming from the fire it is the sign of rain. If you see frogs coming into the house it is the sign of rain. If the sun goes down in a bank of clouds it is the sign of rain. If the smoke blows down the chimney it is the sign of rain. If the midges fly low it is the sign of rain. If the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain.
    If there is a fog hanging over a lake it is the sign of frost. If you see the stars shooting or twinkling it is the sign of frost.
