    "Townlands"
    The townland of Skagh is situated in the parish of Inagh in the barony of Inchiquin. The reason why it is called Skagh is because whitethorns grew there very plentifully. There are eight houses in it two slated ones and six thatched ones. There is one old house in it and Andrew Callinan owned it about eleven years ago. He removed from it and bought a farm of land attached to it and John Callinan owns it.
    There are not very many old people in it and the oldest person in it is:
