  2. Pontius Pilate had a horse
    That was black, blue and grey.
    And an ugly one, too,
    The Scripture does say.
    He never got a match
    While a horse was to be had
    'Till there came an ugly peeler to the town of Ballinafad.

    On Wednesday to appear
    Before Taafe, the attorney
    And J. Ps that were there.
    They fined me but a shilling
    They couldn't speak of jail
    Because I kept a donkey that used to wag his tail.
