  1. There are many diseases now a days besides long ago. The most common are "mumps" "Rickets" and "ringworm".
    Some people say that the cure of stye is to get nine gooseberry thorns and pig the style with them for nine mornings and throw away one every time until they are all gone.
    The cure for mumps- The patient must be led around the inside of a pig stye three times and a round the out side three times. During this performance the sick person wears an asses hatter on his head
