  1. I.. Patch after patch, without any stitches.
Riddle me that and I'll buy you a pair of breeches?
    Ans: "A Cabbage Head."
    II.. Headed like a thimble,
    Tailed like a rat,
If you would guess for ever,
    You wouldn't guess that?
    Ans: "A Pipe."
III As round as an apple,
    As deep as a cup,
    All the men in Derry,
    Could'nt pull it up,
    "A Well."
    IV A white peticoat,
    A green gown,
    That sits in the water,
    And never goes down.
    "A Rush in the Water."
V As round as an apple,
    As flat as a pan,
    One side a woman
    And the other a man.?
    "A Penny."
Ten men pulling narrow bags up the hill?
"A Man pulling up his pants."
