  1. The fair of Nobber was always held on Monday. On one fair day there was a fight and one man was killed and his head was cut off. This head went up and down Nobber shouting "Nobber no more on a Monday" Now Nobber fair is held on a Tuesday.
There is a fair in Muff every year. It is not a town it is only a few houses at a cross road. There are horses and cattle and pigs sold there. There is always a figh at it and in the evening there would be a dance on the cross road. One day the Prodestants said they would go to the fair of Muff and kill the Catholics. The Catholics heard this and were ready for them. There was a man killed at the fight named George O'Reilly and he was buried in Killann graveyard.
