  1. Bread
    Bread was made form wheat and corn. The corn was ground into oatmeal. The wheat was ground into wheaten meal and flour. Oats as grown locally. People remember grind stones being used. There are different kinds of bread such as Potato bread, boxty bread and oaten bread.
    How to make potato bread
    Peel the potatoes and boil them. When boiled mash them finely and add salt .
    Get four ounces of flour to 1/2 lb of a boiled potatoes.
    Mix baking powder with the flour and rub in butter.
    Mix potatoes and flour and add enough milk to make a dough.
    Turn our on floured board.
    Make dough 1/2 inch thick
    Cut into triangles and place on greased pan.
    Bake for 15 minutes.
    Serve at once
