  1. To seek the busy haunts of men,
    A poet finds the leafy glen
    He walks among the shrubs and trees,
    To gather honey with the bees.
    He listens to the notes he loves,
    The wooing of the cooing doves,
    Like the Gladsome Lark in Spring
    That rises above the earth to sing
    To sing of shining orbs afar
    The sun the moon the distant star.
    Earths changing moods are his delight.
    Spring Summer, day and night.
    He sees the blush of modest morn,
