  1. There is a field adjoining our lawn and in it there is said to have been a fort. The mark of the foundation is still to be seen. Old people tell us that about eighty years ago the fairies came out and danced around in a ring for a few minutes in the moonlight.
    It is said that one night there was a terrible storm and the wind blew the fort down and the fairies fled. There was a man living in that district who took the stones to build a wall and every night the wall fell until he had to load
