(continued from previous page)of a rush candle. The thread is not spun now in the homes, but is bought is bought in the shops. There are no spinning- wheels in the district now, but there is one to be seen yet in the house of my granduncle.
There are special clothes worn on a feast day and at the death of a relative. On St. Patrick's Day some women and girls wear green coats and hats or green costumes. At the death of a relative the people wear black.- Collector
