  2. There are many ways of telling the various signs of the weather
    1. When the salt gets damp, and the soot begins to fall it is a sign of rain.
    2. When the hen runs to her house it is a sign of rain.
    3. When we hear the curlew it is a sign of rain.
    4. When the mist goes up in the morning it comes down in rain.
    5. When the crook gets damp it is a sign of damp.
    6. When the river is muddy it is a sign of rain.
