''so come along with me.'' He had no power to refuse, and soon they were in its Castle. He was brought in to a room with a good fire and put sitting by the fire. He refused food and drink for if you touch either with its Good People, they can hold you for good. Every one knows that. Benaghlin told him to stop at the fire till day break and pass no remarks on any thing he seen or heard.
He was no time there till crowds of people were oming in and going out and they kept at that all night long.
He noticed that going out of them every one dipped his head in something like a tub of water that was at the door and rubbed it on his two eyes.
At the break of day when he got Benaghlin's back turned, he made for the door, dipped his hand into the water and rubbed it to one of his eyed. Away with him, and he never stopped till he got into Swad (Swanlinbar) safe and sound. There was a fair day in Swad soon after this, and he was(continues on next page)
